RACES

ORCS
The Orcs are a malignant blue-skinned race, confined for centuries underground after their major defeat in the War of the Gems, where they have steadily increased their knowledge of "magic" and the deviousness of their weaponry. Only in the past few decades have they been daring enough to see the light of day and mingle with the cainall under an accepted peace.

DRAGONS
Dragons are mystical creatures, once thought to have been the chosen guardian race of the sky. Because of their abilities and their natural concern for the well-being of others, they are generally accepted as guardians. All dragons can fly and breathe fire. Their tails are prehensile and very flexible, able to grasp objects and hold on tightly. The thumbs on their wings are weak at birth, but with enough use they can grip things such as knives or clothing.

CAINALL
"Cainall" is actually an encompassing term for all the races. It literally means "people", and is used exactly the same. For everyday use, though, cainall refers to "furries", the group of races believed to be descended from the first animals at the creation of the world. There are the Cats: cheetahs, panthers, leopards, tigers, lions, etc. There are also Dogs, but many of the canine races prefer to keep to themselves in their own home realms and so are not often seen here. In the Dog group are the Foxes, who are much more sociable, and the Wolves, who don't associate much with others but are more open to society than the other sub-races of their group. There are also Ferrets and Bears, rarely seen in the areas this story concerns. In addition to mammals there are also Lizards, who appear much the same as Dragons but lack wings and firebreath; these creatures are fairly common, mostly Skinks.
There are believed to be other groups as well; fables of Serpas, or Snakes, appear every so often after military missions to the south, and sometimes when voyaging to other continents some sailors bring back tales of the Eagle and Falcon races.

STATS:
  Orc soldiers are trained in combat, but due to their race's near-extinction a few hundred years ago, many of them suffer from stupidity and other problems stemming from inbreeding. As per Orc tradition they are violent and persistent in their goals; very narrow-minded when it comes to combat, they will fight when given the chance, usually with intent to kill for the sake of killing or to capture for torture later.
